At this seminar, you will be guided through exercises that focus on expression and body control led by Ice-Semblé Chicago co-founders and co-managing directors Ray Belmonte and Elizabeth McShane Beberdick and our co-artistic director, Ola Czyzewski. Programming
Ice-Semblé Chicago’s annual spring repertoire is currently hosted at IceLand Skate in Niles, IL. Although this repertoire is primarily compiled from a variety of Chicagoland artists, we also invite artistic skaters and choreographers from other cities across the USA in order to provide a variety of stories communicated through the language and art of movement.
Despite adopting a title that indicates a theme for our repertoire, we do not ask our contributing artists to feel limited to the theme. The theme and title of the show is offered as an optional prompt for inspiration. We ultimately encourage artistic freedom that carries intention; do what you want and mean what you do.
