Our Mission

At its core, Ice-Semblé Chicago promotes ice skating as a unique medium where the intersection of art, athleticism, and self-expression collide. We aim to facilitate communication between skaters across Chicago to help foster an artistic skating community. We want to provide a space for these artists to create meaningful work that embraces the traditional style of skating or that challenges expectations. 

Our intention is to support Chicago-based artists in the endeavor to explore skating as an artistic medium, however, we invite and welcome artists beyond the Chicagoland area. We also encourage the exploration of skating in collaboration with other mediums (sound, film, dance, etc).
